Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a talented Geologist focused on exploration to join a Port Elizabeth team. You will analyze geological and geophysical data, contribute to basin analysis, and help define drilling targets for new hydrocarbon prospects.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Geology or Earth Sciences (Master's preferred) and at least 5 years in exploration geology, with proficiency in Petrel and Kingdom Suite. You will work in a multidisciplinary team to advance exploration campaigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or Earth Sciences; Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in exploration geology , preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proficiency in geological modeling and interpretation software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom Suite).
• Strong understanding of sedimentology, stratigraphy, and structural geology.
• Experience with seismic data interpretation and subsurface mapping techniques.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
