Job summary

HotelJobs is seeking a General Manager for a Luxury Tented Lodge in the Hoedspruit region. The role requires strong lodge-wide expertise, a track record in high-end establishments, and solid admin/HR and financial skills. You will oversee FOH, F&B, maintenance, and operations while delivering guest-focused service in a 24-hour environment.

Live-in accommodation is provided; salary is negotiable based on experience. Starting Oct 2026, join a premium lodge team in Limpopo.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification (or similar) in either Management or Hospitality is beneficial.
• Minimum 5 years Lodge Management experience or 2 years General Management Experience in high-end establishments.
• Good financial acumen and fluency in English.
• Proven track record and contactable references.
• Strong admin and HR capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead all lodge aspects including FOH, F&B, maintenance, finances, operations and HR.
• Provide guest-focused hosting and exceptional service.
• Demonstrate flexibility with 24-hour operation shifts.
• Respond to changes in job function as required by the industry and property.
• Manage and monitor costs with effective cost-control measures.
• Provide strong leadership and develop subordinates.
