Job summary

African Echoes Recruitment is seeking a seasoned General Manager for a luxury lodge in Hoedspruit, Limpopo. You will oversee the complete day-to-day operation, ensure guest service excellence, and lead a motivated lodge team to deliver personalized experiences in a high-end setting.

The ideal candidate holds RSA ID, has senior lodge management or GM experience in luxury hospitality and strong financial controls.

Qualifications

• RSA ID and legal residence essential.
• Senior lodge management or GM experience required.
• Luxury lodge/5-star hospitality experience advantageous.
• Strong leadership and staff management skills.
• Excellent guest relations and communication abilities.
• Strong operational and administrative skills.
• Financial and cost control experience.
• Independent worker who takes ownership of the property.
• Hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
• Computer literate.

• Ensure exceptional guest service and hospitality standards.
• Lead, manage, and develop the lodge team.
• Oversee operational administration, stock, purchasing, and cost control.
• Manage guest relations and ensure personalised guest experiences.
• Monitor property standards, maintenance, and presentation.
• Manage staff schedules and operational requirements.
• Liaise with management and suppliers as required.
• Ensure the lodge operates efficiently and professionally at all times.
