Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking a dedicated FX operations/support professional in Paarl, South Africa. You will monitor FX markets, prepare daily rates, and assist with trade execution and payments.

Your role includes client service, compliance and back-office settlement to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities include research on currencies and indicators, handling inquiries, maintaining records, and supporting reconciliations and invoicing.

Qualifications

• Experience in foreign exchange, banking, financial services, international payments, treasury, trade operations, or client service.
• Financial administration and reconciliations.
• Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills; advanced Excel beneficial.
• Understanding of FICA, AML, KYC and exchange-control requirements is advantageous.
• Trade capture, settlement, cash management and client onboarding are beneficial.
• Exposure to Bloomberg, Reuters or similar market platforms is advantageous.
• Relevant financial-services qualification or regulatory training is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor local and international FX markets and prepare daily rates and market updates for clients and internal teams.
• Do basic research on currencies, economic indicators and factors that move rates, and escalate unusual movements or trading points to the manager or trader.
• Support FX trade execution within approved mandates, capture trades accurately, and monitor them through to settlement.
• Process international payments, liaise with banking partners on confirmations, and investigate failed or delayed settlements.
• Handle client and stakeholder queries, onboarding support and service levels.
• Apply exchange-control, FICA, AML and KYC requirements, keep compliance records, and elevate concerns.
• Prepare invoices and statements, follow up debtors, and complete operational and financial reconciliations.
• Keep SOPs, transaction records and audit-ready documentation up to date, and support office administration where required.
