Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Hotel Front Office Manager in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga to lead the front desk operations and ensure exceptional guest service from arrival to departure.

The role requires 4–5 years in front office with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity, plus strong leadership and PMS/reservation software knowledge. A hospitality degree is preferred, and flexibility to work varied shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of experience in front office operations, with supervisory/management exposure.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Solid knowledge of hotel operations, front desk procedures, and guest service best practices.
• Proficiency with PMS and reservation systems; ability to stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Front Office operations (check-in/out, reservations, guest services).
• Lead, train, and motivate the front desk team to uphold high service standards.
• Address guest inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Implement and enforce front office policies and procedures.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve issues effectively.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and revenue to maximize occupancy and revenue.
• Handle cash, card transactions, and daily reconciliations.
• Conduct regular training sessions on service standards and procedures.
• Maintain a welcoming, professional front desk atmosphere.
• Protect guest information and hotel assets.
