Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Foundational Phase Teacher for a primary school in Tembisa, Gauteng. You will plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons for Grades R to 3, creating a safe and inclusive classroom where learners grow cognitively, socially, and emotionally.

With a B.Ed. and at least 3 years of experience, you will apply CAPS, assess progress, and collaborate with staff to nurture a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• B.Ed. or equivalent required for Foundation Phase teaching.
• Minimum of 3 years’ successful teaching experience in Foundation Phase (Grades R-3).
• Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate pedagogy.
• Excellent knowledge of the CAPS Foundation Phase curriculum.
• Exceptional classroom management and communication skills.
• Must reside in or be able to commute to Tembisa.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons across all subjects for Grades R to 3.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Develop and implement creative teaching methodologies for diverse learning needs.
• Conduct regular assessments and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain detailed records of student progress, attendance and behaviour.
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.
