Placements24 is seeking a nurturing Foundation Phase Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Welkom. You will establish a strong educational foundation, fostering cognitive, social, and emotional growth in early learners.

The ideal candidate holds a B.Ed. and has experience with Grades R-3, delivering play-based, developmentally appropriate curricula in a supportive classroom environment. Collaboration with parents and colleagues is essential.

Qualifications

• Recognized qualification in Foundation Phase teaching (e.g., B.Ed.).
• Experience with Grades R-3 in a formal educational setting.
• Understanding of early childhood development principles and pedagogical approaches.

• Passion for teaching and fostering holistic development of every child.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum for Foundation Phase learners, incorporating play-based learning.
• Create a stimulating, supportive, and safe classroom environment that promotes curiosity and a love for learning.
• Assess student progress through observation and formal/informal evaluations, maintaining detailed records.
• Collaborate with parents/guardians to communicate student development and well-being.
• Manage classroom behaviour to foster positive social interactions and emotional regulation.
