Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a warm, nurturing Foundation Phase Teacher to join a dedicated team in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. You will educate learners in Grades R-3, building literacy, numeracy and essential life skills in a safe, inclusive classroom.

Responsibilities include planning engaging lessons, conducting age-appropriate assessments, and collaborating with colleagues and parents to support holistic development in a vibrant coastal school community.

Qualifications

• Recognized teaching qualification with SACE registration.
• Experience teaching Foundation Phase (Grades R-3) is essential.
• Passion for early childhood education and nurturing approach.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and teaching methodologies for young learners.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Foundation Phase learners, catering to diverse learning styles.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate assessments to monitor student progress and provide targeted support.
• Create a positive, stimulating, and safe classroom environment that promotes exploration and discovery.
• Foster the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young learners through play-based and structured activities.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s progress, behavior and development.
• Collaborate effectively with fellow Foundation Phase teachers and school management to enhance the learning program.
