Job summary

Placements24 seeks an enthusiastic On-site Primary School Teacher to join the Foundation Phase team in Pretoria, Gauteng. You will plan, deliver, and assess lessons for Grades R-3, and collaborate with parents and colleagues to support each child's development.

The role requires a recognized qualification (B.Ed. or PGCE), SACE registration, CAPS knowledge, and a commitment to creating an engaging learning environment. This is a full-time on-site position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Recognized teaching qualification (B.Ed. or PGCE) with Foundation Phase specialization.
• SA teaching registration (SACE) is required.
• Experience teaching Foundation Phase learners in a primary school setting.
• In-depth knowledge of CAPS curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management and positive student relationships.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver age-appropriate Foundation Phase lessons (Grades R-3).
• Develop creative teaching strategies for diverse learning styles.
• Assess and monitor student progress using observations and assessments.
• Provide feedback and maintain records of student development.
• Create a positive, safe classroom environment fostering learning and exploration.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and foster collaboration with staff.
• Collaborate with teachers and school leadership to enhance curriculum delivery.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance and well-being.
