Job summary

Placements24 seeks an FMCG Sales Representative to manage key accounts in Upington, Northern Cape. You will build relationships with major retailers, drive product placement, and work toward ambitious sales targets across a growing brand portfolio.

The role requires 3–5 years in FMCG sales, strong negotiation and CRM skills, willingness to travel, and residence in or relocation to Upington. A base salary with commission, company vehicle, medical aid, and retirement benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of proven experience as a Sales Representative, preferably FMCG, focusing on key accounts.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Strong understanding of sales principles, negotiation techniques, and relationship management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, able to work independently.
• A qualification in Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration is an advantage.
• Must reside in or relocate to Upington, Northern Cape area.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key retail accounts in the territory.
• Drive sales volume and revenue targets for a portfolio of FMCG products.
• Implement sales strategies and promotional plans to increase market share.
• Ensure optimal product ranging, merchandising, and in-store visibility at key accounts.
• Conduct regular store visits to assess stock levels and identify opportunities.
• Negotiate shelf space, promotions, and new product introductions with retail buyers.
• Provide excellent customer service and support to key accounts.
• Analyse sales data and market trends to identify opportunities.
