Placements24 seeks an experienced Fleet Operations Manager to lead all fleet activities from George, Western Cape. You will drive procurement, maintenance, and compliance, ensuring optimal uptime and cost efficiency across a 50+ vehicle fleet.

Qualifications

A minimum of 7 years of experience in fleet management, with a significant portion focused on commercial or industrial fleets.
Experience managing a fleet of 50+ vehicles is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair procedures, and fleet management technologies.
Expertise in South African transport regulations, road safety standards, and environmental compliance.
Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
Excellent financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in fleet management software and MS Office Suite.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
A relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
Experience operating within the Western Cape region and understanding its unique logistical challenges.

Manage insurance claims, accident investigations, and driver safety programs.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, service providers, and regulatory bodies.
Conduct regular audits of fleet operations and maintenance records in George, Western Cape.
