Job summary

Recruitment in Johannesburg South, Gauteng, is seeking an Assistant to the Operations Manager to coordinate administration, maintenance and daily readiness of the company’s truck fleet. The successful candidate will monitor licences, services, tyres, fines and loading activities while liaising with drivers and delivering accurate reports.

You will work with the Operations Manager on fleet records, prepare daily and weekly fleet and operational reports, and help ensure trucks are clean, compliant

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in fleet administration, transport coordination or operations.
• Proficient in Excel and fleet-management systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Operations Manager with daily fleet and transport activities.
• Coordinate and monitor maintenance of all company trucks.
• Maintain records of vehicle services, repairs and maintenance.
• Ensure vehicle licences are renewed before expiry.
• Monitor traffic fines and coordinate follow-up and admin.
• Liaise with drivers regarding requirements, schedules and operations.
• Ensure trucks are clean, presentable and ready for operation.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly fleet and operational reports.
• Escalate risks, delays and vehicle-availability concerns to management.
