On Line Personnel in PE/Gqeberha is seeking a Junior Operations Assistant to help manage a fleet of long‑distance trucks. The role is hands-on, coordinating drivers, monitoring vehicles, and resolving issues as they arise, in a fast‑paced transport operation.

You'll work Monday to Friday, with some weekend hours and standby on evenings, bringing strong Excel and communication skills to ensure smooth loading, scheduling, and client updates.

Qualifications

• Matric required.

Job Position: Junior Operations Assistant – Truck Fleet Control

Ref: 4916

Location: PE/ Gqeberha

Salary: R15 000 to R18 000 per month commensurate with qualification and experience

Are you switched‑on, energetic and someone who thrives when things are happening?

We are looking for an individual to join a busy transport operation and play a hands‑on role in keeping a fleet of long‑distance trucks moving efficiently.

This is not a desk‑bound 8-to-5 position — you will be at the heart of the operation, coordinating drivers, monitoring vehicles, communicating with clients and solving problems as they happen.

Monday – Friday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
Every second weekend: Saturday 7:30am – 11:00am in the office
Standby: Evenings and reachable on the company cell when required

This opportunity would suit a switched‑on individual who enjoys a fast‑paced environment where no two days are exactly the same.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Matric
• Previous experience in fleet control, transport operations or scheduling — specifically long‑distance trucks, rather than courier vehicles
• Good computer skills, particularly Excel
• Excellent communication and people skills (preferably fluent in Afrikaans)
• Sharp, practical and solutions‑driven — you don’t freeze when things go wrong!
• Good common sense and the ability to make sensible decisions under pressure
• Energetic, reliable and willing to get involved
• Strong work ethic and a can‑do attitude
• Stable employment history with good, contactable references
• Someone who understands that transport doesn’t always run according to the clock and is prepared to be available when required
