Job summary

Metropolitan, a historic South African financial services brand, is seeking a Financial Advisor to enhance clients’ financial wellness by offering suitable products. You will engage with prospective clients, determine affordability, and provide compliant financial advice aligned with regulatory requirements.

The role emphasises delivering excellent client service, capturing data accurately, and achieving sales targets while adhering to FAIS guidelines and company standards.

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent NQF 4 qualification.
• 2 years’ experience in a sales and/or customer service role.
• 2 years’ experience in the insurance and/or financial services industry rendering financial advice (advantageous).
• Compliance with FAIS Fit and Proper requirements.
• Finance or Business related tertiary qualification (desirable).
• Driver’s license and own transport (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Engage with prospective clients to highlight features and benefits of products based on their financial wellness needs.
• Sell products in line with client’s financial needs by conducting affordability analysis.
• Calculate and advise on tax and legal implications of products or changes.
• Capture client information and sales on the systems accurately.
• Complete all administrative and reporting requirements within agreed timeframes.
• Achieve targets on production, quality and conversion while complying with sales regulations.
