Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a bookkeeping or financial administration role.
• Proficiency in Sage or similar accounting software.
• Strong working knowledge of South African VAT, PAYE and SARS compliance requirements.
• Experience with business banking platforms and foreign currency payment processing.
• High degree of accuracy, reliability and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Record daily banking transactions and perform monthly bank reconciliations across all company bank accounts.
• Process international supplier payments and monitor forex-related activities.
• Process supplier invoices and payments; manage supplier data and reconciliations.
• Allocate customer payments and monitor debtor aging; support invoicing when needed.
• Run monthly payroll and distribute payslips; maintain payroll records.
• Prepare VAT and PAYE submissions; assist with SARS queries and audits.
• Support external auditors with year-end processing and documentation.
• Provide general financial administration support to the Head of Administration.
