Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Telecommunications Technician to manage and maintain our client’s communication infrastructure. The role includes expert remote support for voice and data systems, with on-site installations and repairs when needed, including occasional visits to the Polokwane area.

You will troubleshoot complex telecom issues and ensure reliable service for business operations, with a mix of remote diagnostics and hands-on work when required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Telecommunications Technician or in a similar network support role.
• Strong understanding of telecommunication systems including PBX, VoIP, landlines, and mobile networks.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting network and communication hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for voice and data telecommunication systems, including PBX, VoIP, and cellular networks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues.
• Configure and manage telecommunication equipment and software.
• Coordinate with vendors and on-site teams for installations, repairs, and upgrades.
• Monitor system performance and implement necessary adjustments to ensure optimal operation.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, issues, and resolutions.
