The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering, 5+ years of field service experience, and strong diagnostic skills.

Qualifications

• Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer, preferably in power generation.
• Proven experience with various types of turbines (gas, steam) and generators.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with a methodical approach.
• Ability to work independently and manage travel schedules effectively.
• Excellent customer-facing communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of power generation equipment (e.g., turbines, generators, control systems).
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and performance testing to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Provide technical training and support to customer personnel.
• Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to guide repair and maintenance activities.
• Manage spare parts inventory and report on equipment condition and service needs.
