Job summary

Smollan in South Africa seeks a Field Sales and Service Consultant to drive sales and promote financial products within the KwaZulu-Natal region. You will build client relationships, manage a portfolio and identify new business opportunities.

The role focuses on delivering exceptional service, consultative selling and tailored financial solutions, while maintaining CRM records, reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• National Matric Certificate (Grade 12) and Diploma or Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (NQF 5)
• 2-4 years of sales or customer service experience, preferably in financial services or insurance
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets; strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities

• Sales & Business Development: actively seek new opportunities to drive sales of financial services and products in the region; identify and pursue leads; conduct presentations and consultations; achieve targets and manage accounts.
• Customer Service & Support: provide exceptional service to new and existing clients; tailor financial solutions; follow up on requests; ensure high satisfaction and retention.
• Product & Consultation: develop understanding of company financial products; educate clients on features and terms; stay updated on industry trends; provide expert advice.
• Reporting & Maintain: maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions; submit reports; manage CRM data; handle proposals, contracts, and service agreements.
• Compliance & Risk Management: ensure sales activities comply with regulations; identify and mitigate risks; provide clear information to avoid mis-selling; stay informed on regulator changes
