Placements24 invites a seasoned Field Operations Engineer to support oil and gas production activities near Nelspruit. You will optimize wells and surface facilities, troubleshoot field issues in real-time, and work with rig crews, technicians, and management to maintain production levels.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Petroleum Engineering, at least 4 years of field experience, and strong knowledge of artificial lift systems (ESPs, gas lift).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of oil and gas field operations experience.
• Solid understanding of production engineering, including artificial lift systems (ESPs, gas lift).
• Experience with surface facility operations and maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication and team-oriented in field environment near Nelspruit.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize the performance of oil and gas wells and surface facilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, including equipment malfunctions and production variances.
• Implement artificial lift optimization strategies and manage associated equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations in field operations.
• Participate in daily production meetings and coordinate activities with drilling, reservoir, and maintenance teams.
• Prepare daily/weekly operational reports and analyze production data for performance improvement.
