Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Field Operations Engineer to support upstream activities in the Bloemfontein area. You will provide on-site technical support, monitor well performance, troubleshoot issues, and help optimize production safely and efficiently.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering and 3–5 years of field operations experience in oil & gas, with knowledge of well testing, artificial lift, and HSE practices.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of field operations or production engineering experience in Oil & Gas.
• Familiarity with well testing, artificial lift systems and production optimization techniques.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic Field Operations Engineer to join their team supporting upstream operations in the Bloemfontein area. This role involves providing technical support and operational oversight for various field activities, ensuring that production targets are met safely and efficiently. You will troubleshoot operational issues, optimize well performance, and implement new technologies to enhance recovery. This position is key to maintaining and improving the productivity of existing assets within the Oil & Gas sector, contributing to the company's operational success in the Free State .
