Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a Field Operations Engineer to support upstream activities in the Bloemfontein area. You will provide on-site technical support, monitor well performance, troubleshoot issues, and help optimize production safely and efficiently.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering and 3–5 years of field operations experience in oil & gas, with knowledge of well testing, artificial lift, and HSE practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
- 3–5 years of field operations or production engineering experience in Oil & Gas.
- Familiarity with well testing, artificial lift systems and production optimization techniques.
- Strong understanding of HSE regulations and practices in field operations.
- Good analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical support for production and drilling operations.
- Monitor well performance, identify issues and optimize production.
- Assist in planning and executing workovers, completions and other field operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental standards in field activities.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and field personnel to achieve operational goals.
