Job summary

Herotel Telecoms (Pty) Ltd in Embalenhle is seeking a Contractor Coordinator to lead contractor teams and ensure high-quality installations and field support. You will manage daily operations from POP to the customer and drive performance against KPIs.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a telecommunications technical environment.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and Herotel standards.
• Proven leadership and contractor management experience.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage stress and lead under pressure.
• Strong planning, organising, leading, and control skills.
• Analytical thinking and problem solving.
• Decision-making and sound judgment capability.
• Willingness to travel with valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the physical network infrastructure within your assigned area.
• Ensure correct deployment, health, and maintenance of infrastructure at customer premises.
• Act as custodian of the network from POP to the customer’s internal network.
• Partner with the Area Manager to own the customer’s experience on the network.
• Convert business goals into monthly and daily operational plans.
• Manage contractor teams to develop plans, have resources, and communicate expectations.
• Report on KPIs, metrics, and contractor performance statistics.
• Coach and train contractor teams to Herotel standards.
• Lead daily MOS meetings and align operations with regional strategies.
• Align area operations with national network strategies.
