Field IT Operations Lead — Classroom Tech Deployments

Job summary

Huddle seeks an IT Administrator to own day-to-day internal IT operations across the Western Cape, manage contractors and vendors, deploy classroom technology, and provide first-line support. The role reports to the Head of Operations and works with the IT Strategist.

You will travel to schools, install and troubleshoot classroom tech, enforce device policies, document site logs, and coordinate with external teams.

Qualifications

• IT certification or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Hands-on experience with hardware or AV installation (cabling, mounting, device setup and configuration).
• Own vehicle and valid driver's license.
• Comfortable traveling independently to schools across a range of areas, including townships.
• Ability to operate independently without a dedicated IT function to plug into.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day internal IT administration and policy.
• Manage contractors and vendors and school tech deployments.
• Provide first-line tech support and escalation as needed.
• Roll out classroom tech and troubleshoot on-site.
• Coordinate with external dev/platform teams and WCED IT as needed.
• Document site logs and asset registers.
