Placements24 is seeking a proactive Field Electrical Engineer to join the Soweto-based operations team. The role focuses on on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and overseeing installation of electrical systems and equipment across various sites.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years of field engineering experience, with hands-on problem-solving abilities and willingness to travel extensively within the service region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years in field engineering or technical support role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and industrial controls.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the service region.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues and equipment failures in the field.
• Provide technical guidance and support to installation crews and maintenance teams.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to plan for future electrical upgrades and maintenance.
• Ensure all field work complies with safety regulations, project specifications, and quality standards.
• Prepare detailed reports on site activities, findings, and recommendations.
