Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Technician to support operations in Soweto, Gauteng. You will install, maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment, working under electrical engineers to ensure safe, smooth operation of infrastructure.

The role offers hands-on experience, on-the-job training, and opportunities for further certification within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or relevant qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Proven hands-on experience as an Electrical Technician or similar.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation, testing and commissioning of equipment and control systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on electrical machinery and infrastructure.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults with minimal operational disruption.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints and manuals.
• Ensure work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs and parts used.
