Placements24 is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to contribute to vital infrastructure development in Soweto. You will design, plan, and implement electrical systems for urban development, including power distribution and street lighting, working with municipal bodies and construction teams.

This full-time role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and at least four years of practical experience in electrical infrastructure design and project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in electrical infrastructure design and project execution.
• Knowledge of low-voltage distribution, street lighting, and municipal standards.
• Proficiency in electrical design software and modeling tools.
• Strong knowledge of South African electrical regulations and building codes.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical infrastructure plans, including power distribution networks and street lighting layouts.
• Prepare detailed specifications, drawings, and tender documents for electrical infrastructure projects.
• Oversee the installation and construction phases of electrical infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to design and safety standards.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance to contractors and site teams.
• Collaborate with urban planners, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems effectively.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues that arise during the development and construction phases.
