Placements24 is seeking a proactive Field Electrical Engineer to be based on-site in Upington. You will oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems on diverse industrial and commercial projects, serving as the on-site technical lead to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in field engineering, site supervision, or commissioning roles.
• Proven experience with industrial electrical systems, control panels, power distribution, and low voltage systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical testing procedures and safety regulations (e.g., working at height, live working protocols).
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.

• Supervise and direct the installation of electrical equipment and systems on project sites.
• Conduct pre-commissioning checks, testing, and commissioning of electrical installations.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with design specifications, project plans, and safety standards.
