Job summary

SMD Technologies in South Africa is seeking a Business Development Manager for the Free State to drive sales growth through new business opportunities and strong client relationships. The role requires extensive travel to meet clients and tailor solutions to business objectives.

You will report to the BDM Manager, work hours 08:00-17:00, and collaborate with internal teams to achieve sales targets, market insights, and reports. Matric and proven sales success are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of sales experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Matric certificate.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Self-motivated and results-driven.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Own reliable car and valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
• Retail sales experience is preferred.
