Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a capable Farm Supervisor to oversee daily operations at a diverse farm in the Sandton area. You will supervise planting, irrigation, pest control, harvesting, and ensure productivity and crop quality.

The role requires hands-on farming experience, strong leadership, and the ability to manage a team of farm workers. You will maintain schedules, monitor progress, and ensure safe equipment use.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Farm Supervisor or in a similar agricultural leadership role.
• Hands-on knowledge of crop cultivation techniques, including irrigation and pest control.
• Ability to manage and motivate a team of farm workers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the work of farm laborers, providing clear instructions and guidance.
• Oversee daily farming activities, including planting, irrigation, fertilization, and pest management.
• Ensure the proper maintenance and use of farm equipment and machinery.
• Monitor crop progress and identify any issues, implementing solutions as needed.
• Maintain records of daily operations, yields, and resource usage.
• Enforce farm safety rules and ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
