Placements24 is seeking a diligent Farm Operations Supervisor to oversee daily activities at agricultural sites near Durban. You will lead planting, cultivation, and harvesting processes while ensuring efficiency and adherence to farm best practices.

The role is on-site, demanding hands-on leadership of a team of farmhands, with responsibility for equipment maintenance, crop health monitoring, safety compliance, and timely inventory control across farming operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in farm supervision or similar agricultural role.
• Solid understanding of crop production cycles and best farming practices.
• Experience operating and maintaining agricultural machinery.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team of workers effectively.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily tasks of farm workers, ensuring efficient workflow.
• Oversee planting, irrigation, pest control, and harvesting operations according to schedules.
• Ensure farm equipment is maintained in good working order and used safely.
