Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Farm Supervisor to manage day-to-day operations at a farm in Tembisa. You will oversee a team of farmhands, drive crop cultivation, harvest activities, and equipment maintenance to ensure high productivity and quality output.

The role requires hands-on leadership, practical farming experience, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Weekend availability and flexibility will be needed to meet seasonal demands and project timelines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Farm Supervisor or in a similar agricultural role.
• Practical knowledge of crop cultivation techniques and common farming equipment.
• Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
• Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Understanding of basic farm safety procedures.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, as required by seasonal demands.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the work of farm labourers in planting, weeding, irrigation and harvesting.
• Monitor crop health and apply treatments for pests and diseases.
• Maintain and operate farm equipment and tools.
• Keep accurate records of daily activities, inputs and yields.
• Assist in implementing farming strategies and contribute to planning.
• Promote adherence to safety protocols on the farm.
