Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Farm Supervisor to lead daily farm operations in Mossel Bay. You will manage a team, oversee planting, irrigation, pest control, and harvest activities, ensuring efficiency and safety on site.

The role involves mentoring staff, maintaining equipment, and upholding best farming practices to drive productivity and sustainable results. On-site accommodation may be available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within the agricultural sector.
• Strong understanding of farming operations, crop cycles, and basic techniques.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate a team.
• Ability to work effectively outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and coordinate daily tasks of farm laborers to ensure on-time, accurate work.
• Oversee planting, irrigation, harvesting, and cultivation according to the farm plan.
• Monitor crop health, detect pests/diseases, and implement control measures.
• Maintain and operate farm equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Enforce safety protocols and keep accurate production, labor, and inventory records.
