Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Farm Operations Supervisor for a mixed-crop farm in Pretoria. You will oversee daily field activities, lead a small team of farmhands, manage equipment, and ensure tasks are completed to high standards under the farm manager's guidance.

The role requires at least 5 years in farming, hands-on operation of tractors and harvesters, knowledge of cropping techniques and irrigation, plus strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of farming experience on mixed cropping systems.
• Experience supervising a small team of farm workers.
• Ability to operate and perform basic maintenance on typical farm machinery.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily tasks of farm laborers (planting, cultivating, irrigating, weeding, harvesting).
• Ensure farming activities meet quality and efficiency standards.
• Operate and maintain tractors, harvesters, and other equipment; perform basic repairs.
