Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer to optimize facility layouts and streamline material flow in Paarl area facilities. You will design layouts for plants and warehouses, analyze material handling, and use CAD tools to compare design options.

You will work with engineering, operations, and safety teams to ensure ergonomic and safety standards are met, while delivering cost-effective improvements and ROI justifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Experience in facilities layout design and material flow optimization.
• Proficiency with CAD software and layout/simulation tools.
• Strong lean, ergonomics, and safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement optimal facility layouts for manufacturing plants, warehouses, and distribution centers.
• Analyze and improve material flow, material handling systems, and logistics within facilities.
• Utilize CAD software and simulation tools to create layouts, visualize material flow, and evaluate design alternatives.
• Ensure layouts comply with safety regulations, ergonomic best practices, and operational efficiency goals.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and safety teams during facility design and modification projects.
• Develop justifications for layout changes, including cost-benefit analysis and ROI calculations.
