Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer specializing in facility design to join our client in Paarl, Western Cape. You will conceptualize, plan, and design efficient layouts and material flow systems to enhance productivity and safety.

The role requires 5+ years in facility design and CAD proficiency (AutoCAD, SolidWorks). You will work with architects and operations to deliver compliant, future-proof facilities and generate detailed documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in facility design, layout planning, and material flow optimization.
• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual designs and detailed layouts for facilities, focusing on material flow and operational efficiency.
• Use CAD and simulation tools to visualize and analyze proposed designs.
• Collaborate with architects, construction teams, and stakeholders to meet safety and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for modifications or new builds.
• Develop and maintain project documentation including specifications and drawings.
• Perform site visits to gather requirements and monitor progress.
