Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer specializing in Facility Layout to optimize Soweto site operations. You will design efficient layouts for manufacturing plants, warehouses, and operational areas, analyzing material flow, workstation design, and space utilization to maximize productivity and minimize costs.

You will use CAD tools and simulation to validate layouts, with a strong focus on ergonomics and safety within an industrial context.

Qualificações

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related technical field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in facility layout design and industrial engineering.
Proficiency in CAD software for creating and modifying facility layouts.
Experience with simulation software for analyzing material flow and operational efficiency.
Strong understanding of ergonomics, safety standards, and lean manufacturing principles.

Responsabilidades

Design and optimize facility layouts to improve material flow, reduce travel distances, and enhance productivity.
Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for layout design and visualization.
Develop simulation models to test proposed layouts and evaluate their impact on operations.
Analyze workstation design for ergonomics, safety, and efficiency.
Collaborate with production, maintenance, and safety teams to ensure layouts meet operational and regulatory requirements.
Develop recommendations for equipment placement and workflow optimization within new or existing facilities.
