Job summary

Placements24 is assisting a renowned hospitality venue in Soweto, Gauteng to hire a Food & Beverage Supervisor. The role focuses on supervising daily F&B operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, leading a team, and maintaining high service standards in a busy setting.

The ideal candidate will lead staff, monitor quality, control costs, and collaborate with Head Chef to deliver seamless service.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in F&B.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant and bar operations.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily F&B outlets operations (restaurants, bars, room service).
• Maintain high standards of customer service at all times.
• Train and manage F&B staff; foster a positive work environment.
• Address customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
• Monitor inventory; place orders; manage stock rotation to minimize waste.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations in F&B areas.
• Assist in developing and implementing new menu items and promotions.
• Control costs related to food, beverage, labor and expenses.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings to communicate goals and daily objectives.
• Collaborate with Head Chef and department managers to ensure seamless service.
