Job summary

Staff Connection - Hospitality Recruitment and Executive Search in Gauteng is seeking an experienced F&B Supervisor to lead a front-of-house team, engage with guests and ensure smooth service. The role requires at least 3 years in F&B/hospitality, strong guest relations, staff scheduling, training, stock control and solid knowledge of POS and GAAP.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' F&B / hospitality experience.
• Local SA resident.
• Strong guest relations and customer service skills.
• Experience supervising front-of-house teams.
• Stocktaking and stock control experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Good understanding of POS systems, billing and cash-up procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the F&B/front-of-house team during service.
• Ensure a warm, professional and memorable guest experience.
• Assist with staff scheduling, training and daily supervision.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure dining and coffee shop areas are clean, well presented and correctly set up.
• Monitor food hygiene, health & safety and environmental standards.
• Manage guest requests, queries and bill-related matters.
• Ensure accurate POS, payment and billing procedures.
• Maintain strong product knowledge and confidently make recommendations to guests.
• Assist with stocktaking and stock control.
• Monitor service standards, team performance and operational efficiency.
• Step onto the floor and assist wherever required to ensure smooth service.
