Role requires five years in procurement within hospitality, strong Excel and procurement systems experience, and a track record of cost control and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Hospitality Management; Business Management, or related qualification.
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in procurement or purchasing within hospitality, restaurant, food manufacturing, or food distribution.
• Proven experience negotiating supplier contracts and commercial agreements.
• Experience managing food and beverage procurement, supplier relationships, inventory, and cost control.
• Strong understanding of food quality standards, supplier management, and inventory best practices.
• Experience with procurement systems, PILOT & GAAP Unity, and Microsoft Excel.
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies for all food, beverage, packaging, and operational consumables.
• Source, evaluate, appoint, and manage suppliers for quality, reliability, and value.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, rebates, SLAs, and long-term supply contracts.
• Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships for favourable outcomes.
• Benchmark supplier pricing and market trends to ensure competitiveness.
• Ensure procured products meet quality specs and operational requirements.
• Conduct supplier audits and product quality evaluations.
• Manage procurement budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Oversee purchasing processes, POs, and approvals.
• Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages and waste.
• Forecast purchasing requirements with Head Chef, Bar Manager, and Ops.
• Evaluate alternate suppliers/products to improve cost efficiencies.
• Analyze purchasing trends, supplier performance, pricing fluctuations, and consumption.
• Ensure procurement compliance with policies and food safety standards.
• Resolve supplier disputes, delivery issues, and contractual matters promptly.
• Prepare procurement reports and supplier performance reviews.
