EXTERNAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE – CITY DEEP | MID712

Midvaal Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established automotive aftermarket company based in City Deep, Johannesburg, for an experienced and driven External Sales Representative.

Location: City Deep, Johannesburg

Reference: MID712

Role Purpose

To drive profitable revenue growth by managing and growing an allocated customer base through disciplined sales execution, consistent customer engagement and correct product application, in line with company standards and policies.

Industry: Automotive Aftermarket / Parts Sales

The successful candidate will join a leading supplier of automotive air-conditioning components, air-conditioning tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and recommend products or services based on customer and market needs.

• Follow up on leads generated by Internal Sales and external sources, including new COD accounts.

• Generate quotations, sales orders and invoices and ensure appropriate follow-up.

• Identify and recommend products or product ranges based on customer requirements, opportunities and current stock levels.

• Visit customers regularly according to an established call cycle, following the 80/20 time allocation principle.

• Train customers on products and their correct application, or coordinate training through suppliers or internal resources.

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.

• Drive growth within the allocated customer base.

• Achieve agreed revenue and margin targets.

• Maintain accurate reporting, compliance and sales administration.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric – Non-negotiable

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Automotive Aftermarket or Parts Sales

• Experience in Wholesale / Retail Replacement Parts Sales is preferable.

• Experience or knowledge in automotive mobile air-conditioning is advantageous.

• Technical motor vehicle air-conditioning understanding and product knowledge preferred.

• Existing customer networks and industry knowledge will be advantageous.

Package

Basic Salary: R18,000 – R25,000 per month
