The Company

A well-established international manufacturer and supplier of premium abrasive products and industrial tooling is seeking an experienced Sales Representative to service the Lowveld region.

The company supplies products and solutions to industrial end users, resellers, engineering businesses, workshops, manufacturers, hardware stores and DIY and industrial retail outlets.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for growing revenue, developing new business and managing existing customer relationships throughout Mpumalanga, with a particular focus on the Lowveld.

The ideal candidate should reside in Nelspruit/Mbombela or the surrounding area, as this is central to the assigned sales territory. This is a field-based position requiring regular customer visits, independent territory management, and consistent follow-through.

Key Responsibilities

• Market and sell industrial abrasive products, tools, and related services to existing and prospective customers.

Minimum Requirements

• At least five years of proven sales experience.
• At least five years of experience managing DIY and industrial retail-store customers.
• Sales experience within the industrial tools, abrasives, engineering supplies, hardware, manufacturing, or a closely related technical market is strongly preferred.
• Full professional bilingual proficiency in both Afrikaans and English is essential. Candidates must be able to speak, read, and write confidently in both languages.
• A demonstrated ability to generate new business and develop an existing customer base.
• Strong negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Confidence in dealing with end users, resellers, retail-store management, and business owners.
• Working knowledge of sales techniques, territory management, and customer-development strategies.
• Experience using CRM systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
• The ability to work independently and manage a geographically dispersed sales territory.
• Strong planning, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• A high level of initiative, urgency, and attention to detail.
• A committed, dependable, and results-oriented approach.
• Residence in Nelspruit/Mbombela or the surrounding Lowveld area is strongly preferred.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel regularly within the sales region.

Remuneration and Benefits

• Basic salary of R4,000 per month.
• Sales commission linked to gross profit performance.
• Guaranteed earnings of R25,000 per month for the first six months.
• Negotiable vehicle and cellphone allowances.

• Employer provident-fund contribution of 7%.
