Job summary

KSB Pumps & Valves (Pty) Ltd in Johannesburg is seeking a qualified sales professional with a mechanical or process engineering background. The role focuses on supporting existing customers, expanding the customer base, and delivering excellent service in a pump and valve environment.

Responsibilities include engaging with contractors, end users and municipalities, preparing SAP quotations, processing orders from loading to payment, and coordinating with the factory team to meet delivery

Qualifications

• Minimum National Diploma in Mechanical or Process Engineering (N6/T3)
• 3–5 years’ experience in a professional sales role within a service environment
• Strong component identification skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, SAP, and Webshop
• Foundational knowledge of sales and marketing principles
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent customer service

• Call on existing KSB customers and expand the customer base
• Stay updated on market trends, competition and tenders
• Call on contractors, end users and municipalities
• Follow up weekly on leads
• Perform onsite fault finding and problem solving on pumps and systems
• Prepare SAP quotations for pumps and spares and process orders on SAP
• Process orders from loading to payment
• Coordinate with factory and production on orders
• Update customers on order status and delivery dates
• Update projects on C4C weekly with contacts
• Maintain protocol for handling claims and assist staff
• Meet deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction
• Increase SupremeServ market share and seek growth opportunities
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Carry out other duties as required

EDUCATION :

Grade 12 (or equivalent)
National Diploma (N6/T3) or Degree in Mechanical Engineering

REQUIREMENTS:

• Compile SAP quotations for pumps and spares and process orders on SAP.
• Follow through on orders from loading on the system to the payment stage.
• Liaise with the factory and production division when orders are in the system.
• Liaise with customers regarding order status and delivery dates.
• Load and update projects on C4C weekly, including customer contacts and company files.
• Maintain protocol in handling claims and assist fellow branch staff.
• Meet deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Increase SupremeServ market share and seek new opportunities for growth.
• Comply with and enforce all KSB Pumps & Valves (Pty) Ltd policies and procedures
• In addition to these functions, the incumbent is required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required.
