About the Role

Our client, a distinguished executive search firm renowned for its expertise in identifying and placing C-suite and senior leadership talent, is seeking a highly motivated and accomplished Executive Search Consultant to join their prestigious team in Cape Town. This role is crucial for managing high-profile search assignments across various industries, ensuring the successful placement of top-tier executives. Key Responsibilities

Manage and execute executive search assignments from inception to completion, identifying, assessing, and presenting highly qualified candidates for senior leadership roles. Develop and implement effective search strategies, utilizing market intelligence, networking, and direct sourcing methodologies to identify passive and active candidates. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, understanding their organizational needs, culture and strategic objectives within the Cape Town business community. Conduct in-depth candidate assessments, including competency-based interviews, reference checks, and background verification, to evaluate suitability and fit. Prepare comprehensive client proposals, progress reports and final candidate presentations. Collaborate with research teams and other consultants to leverage collective knowledge and ensure the highest quality of service delivery. Represent the firm professionally in client meetings, industry events and networking engagements. Contribute to the firm's business development initiatives by identifying and pursuing new client opportunities. Stay abreast of market trends, industry dynamics and best practices in executive search and talent management.

Requirements

A minimum of 5 years of experience in executive search, retained search or a senior-level talent acquisition role within a corporate environment. Demonstrated success in managing complex search assignments for senior executive positions (e.g., C-suite, VP, Director levels). Exceptional research, analytical and assessment skills, with the ability to identify and engage top-tier talent. Strong business acumen and a solid understanding of various industries and functional areas relevant to the Cape Town market. Outstanding interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport with senior stakeholders. Proven client relationship management skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and results. Proficiency in using executive search databases, CRM systems and professional networking platforms. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Psychology, Human Resources or a related field is required. An MBA or equivalent is advantageous. Discretion, integrity and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
