Placements24 seeks a highly experienced Mine Manager to lead operations near Paarl, driving safety, productivity and profitability while ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.

You will manage a diverse team, optimize resources, monitor performance and guide strategic decisions with a solid background in mining processes, geology and finance to shape the day-to-day success of the operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years in mining operations with 5+ in senior management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans to meet production targets and financial objectives.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental compliance across mine operations.
• Lead all mine personnel and foster teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Oversee utilization of resources including equipment, personnel and capital.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with regulators, suppliers and local community.
• Monitor performance, analyze data and drive cost optimization.
