Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Lead Project Manager to oversee large-scale infrastructure development in Centurion, Gauteng. The role requires strategic planning, team leadership, and strict budget control to deliver projects on time and to quality.

You will coordinate engineers, contractors, and consultants, manage procurement, and ensure compliance with codes and safety regulations. A civil engineering background with 10+ years' experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required.
• Master's degree is a plus.
• Professional registration (Pr.Eng/Pr.CM) advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure development projects from feasibility to handover.
• Develop detailed plans including scope, budgets, schedules, and resources.
• Oversee engineers, architects, contractors, and consultants for coordination and performance.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Conduct site inspections and progress reviews for quality adherence.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and manage procurement.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Maintain clear communication with investors, government bodies, and community representatives.
