Job summary

The Bay Hotel, part of Village n Life, seeks an Executive Housekeeper to lead daily housekeeping operations in Cape Town. You’ll supervise staff, monitor aesthetics and ensure high standards across guest rooms and public areas.

Lead with strong communication, ensure health and safety compliance, and train teams to deliver exceptional service. This role offers growth within Village n Life in one of Cape Town’s iconic locations.

Qualifications

• Matric plus relevant certificate or diploma.
• 2–5 years’ housekeeping management experience in hospitality.
• Strong communication, decision-making and organisational skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage under pressure.
• A collaborative leader who motivates and supports their team.

Responsibilities

• Support the Executive Housekeeper in managing daily housekeeping operations.
• Oversee servicing and upkeep of guest rooms and public areas.
• Conduct daily checks to maintain Village n Life standards.
• Supervise and train staff ensuring correct procedures are followed.
• Manage housekeeping stock, equipment and uniforms.
• Monitor aesthetics ensuring décor and furniture are maintained.
• Investigate and resolve guest complaints promptly.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and company procedures.
