Placements24 in Cape Town seeks an experienced Lead Hotel Housekeeper to oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring immaculate rooms, suites and public areas while upholding luxury standards.

You will lead a team of attendants, coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance, and drive training, schedules and compliance with health and safety regulations to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory/management experience in hotel housekeeping (4- or 5-star preferred).
• Deep knowledge of hotel cleaning procedures and chemical safety.
• Strong leadership, organizational and time-management abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with diverse teams.
• Meticulous attention to detail and high presentation standards.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of other local languages is an asset.
• Commitment to exceptional guest service.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and manage day-to-day housekeeping team activities (room attendants, linen attendants, public area cleaners).
• Develop and implement cleaning standards to meet the highest cleanliness and hygiene levels.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas; rectify deficiencies promptly.
• Manage inventory of linens, supplies, and guest amenities; ensure stock control and timely ordering.
• Train and mentor housekeeping staff; foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance to handle guest requests and maintenance issues.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and fire regulations within housekeeping.
• Prepare daily work assignments, schedules, and duty rosters for the team.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints related to housekeeping with professionalism.
