Job summary

The Bay Hotel in Cape Town, part of Village n Life, is seeking an Executive Housekeeper to support daily housekeeping operations, supervise staff, manage supplies and ensure health and safety standards across the hotel.

You will oversee guest rooms and public areas, train and motivate a team, monitor standards to meet Village n Life expectations, and handle guest feedback with professionalism. Staff housing options are available, along with growth opportunities within the group.

Qualifications

• Matric plus relevant certificate or diploma.
• 2–5 years’ housekeeping management experience in hospitality.
• Strong communication, decision-making and organisational skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage under pressure.
• A collaborative leader who motivates and supports their team.

• Conduct daily checks to maintain Village n Life standards

• Investigate and resolve guest complaints promptly

Job description

This role forms part of the housekeeping team at The Bay Hotel, within the Village n Life hospitality group.

The Role

As Executive Housekeeper you’ll support the Executive Housekeeper in managing daily housekeeping operations. This includes supervising staff, maintaining supplies, overseeing aesthetics across the hotel and ensuring health and safety measures are in place.
