Placements24 is seeking an experienced Hotel General Manager to lead a premier Bloemfontein property. You will set the vision, drive operational excellence, and maximise profitability while delivering outstanding service.

The role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in luxury/hospitality management, strong team development, and the ability to manage diverse departments to achieve targets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in hotel management with at least 5 years in GM or senior leadership.
• Proven track record of driving revenue, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
• Degree in Hospitality Management or Business Administration.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and overall management of the hotel operations.
• Develop and implement business plans to achieve revenue and guest satisfaction goals.
• Oversee all departments including operations, sales, marketing, finance and HR.
• Manage budget, P&L, and financial performance with cost-control measures.
• Recruit, train, motivate, and manage a high-performing hotel management team.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, health, safety, and brand standards.
• Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to drive occupancy and revenue.
• Build relationships with owners, stakeholders and the local community.
• Maintain and enhance the hotel's physical assets and property standards.
