Job description

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT (C-Suite) - R 600k pa - Southern Suburbs, CPT

The role

This is a high-trust, high-impact Executive Assistant role supporting a CEO and COO in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial financial services environment.

You’ll be the calm, organised centre in a business where decisions are made quickly, ideas move fast, and leadership operates at a high level. One executive is highly driven, detail-focused, expressive, and particular. The other is strategic, composed, and exceptionally busy. They work in lockstep and trust each other completely. You will be the person who makes that partnership run smoothly.

This is not a passive support role. You’ll be deeply embedded in how the business operates day to day, anticipating needs, filtering noise, and ensuring nothing important slips.

Why this role is special
  • Direct access to senior decision-makers
  • Real influence and visibility
  • A role that will stretch you intellectually and professionally
  • Long-term opportunity for someone who wants to be genuinely embedded in a business, not just support it

If you’re the kind of Executive Assistant who takes pride in excellence, thrives alongside demanding leaders, and wants to be part of something driven and purposeful, this role will feel like home.

The environment

This is a unique financial services firm with an entrepreneurial mindset. Decisions are made quickly. There’s no unnecessary hierarchy. If something makes sense, it gets done. If it doesn’t, it’s dropped. The culture values competence, trust, and results over politics and noise.

What you’ll be doing
  • Managing complex executive diaries, priorities, and logistics with precision
  • Acting as a gatekeeper and translator between leadership and the wider business
  • Handling sensitive, confidential information with discretion and sound judgment
  • Preparing, proofreading, and organising high-level correspondence, documents, and presentations
  • Following up on actions, deadlines, and commitments without being asked
  • Creating order in fast-changing situations and ambiguous moments
  • Supporting ad hoc projects that require sharp thinking, structure, and follow-through
  • Keeping executives focused by removing friction from their day
  • Anticipate and be proactive
Requirements
  • Matric
  • Relevant Diploma / Degree (advantageous)
  • 10+ years experience supporting senior executives
  • Experience in financial services, legal, property, or professional services
The kind of person who thrives here
  • Highly organised, naturally structured, and meticulous about detail
  • Comfortable working with strong personalities and different communication styles
  • Confident enough to push back when needed, tactful enough to do it well
  • Emotionally intelligent, intuitive, and able to read the room
  • Calm under pressure and unflappable when plans change
  • A natural fixer who enjoys bringing clarity to complexity
  • Loyal, reliable, and deeply professional
  • Energised by pace, responsibility, and being relied on

You don’t need hand-holding. You spot problems before they become problems. You enjoy being the person leadership depends on.
